Gay Bridge 2008 is more than just great Bridge. IAGLBC feels that the social atmosphere and interpersonal relating are an integral part of Gay Bridge 2008. It is for this reason that all events, bridge and social, have been included on this schedule. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. We are glad you are at the largest gay bridge event of the year!
The partnership desk will be open 30 minutes prior to each game. Registrants are guaranteed a partner ONLY if they sign up at the partnership desk 30 minutes in advance of the game AND remain in contact with the partnership desk volunteer. IAGLBC wants everyone to play, but all games will begin on time!
Each player must pick up his entry form at least ten (10) minutes prior to starting time to be assured a place in that session. In the case of a double session event, please notify the director if you do not want to return for the second session. You must present your badge for an entry form.
All Bridge events are planned to be stratified, with players of all levels eligible to receive awards.
ACBL points will be awarded for all Bridge sessions. Also, IAGLBC will compile all masterpoints won from all IAGLBC tournaments to be added to each player's "Rainbow Ranking."
The Gay Bridge 2008 Tournament is staffed by volunteers. With each participant handling one or two tasks, the work load of this event will be handled evenly. All can take pride in making it both a fun and effectively run event.
The ACBL standard policy of Zero Tolerance will be in effect during the entire tournament.
Players who are abusive or obnoxious may be asked to leave immediately, without refund.In accordance with California State Law, smoking is not allowed in any indoor common area.
Friendship meals included in your registration are the Saturday night Banquet and the Sunday awards Brunch. Dinners on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are extra and space is reserved for those who choose the Friendship Meal Package. (If you didn't sign up, check with registration.)
